Manage Custom Fields

 

By default OpenRMA software supports various custom fields for your own business specific needs.

Besides the common fields that everyone use by default, for example customer name, device for repair name, serial number and so on, some business have specific needs and they want to store information like Speed, Weight, Height, Sharpness and so on. This is where custom fields comes in place.

 

For customer purposes we have 5 custom fields and your can rename it to whatever you want.

For repair service purposes we have 10 custom fields to rename and add any option to drop down selection.

For inventory we also have 5 custom fields.

 

You can set the custom field names from the Settings--> Custom Fields.

As we mention previously, you can have up to 10 custom fields for repair services purposes. The 8 out of 10 are drop down supported fields. That means, you can store both single text information as well as selecting from a drop down list of predefined values.

To add those predefined values for the 8 out of 10 dropdown fields, go to settings and then Custom Field Entries.
