Technicians

Technicians Overview

In this setup area you may create a list of the various technicians who do estimating or repairs and servicing. The technicians entered here will be available in dropdown lists for the Assigned Technician entry field on repair orders.

To manage Technicians module, select Options Ribbon Tab image5_0 General Settings. Then select Users & Permissions from the left navigation (scroll to bottom).

To create a new Technician (user login) click the New User button on the top right corner.

After you have created the new user a new entry will appear in the list. Click on the newly created user and check/uncheck any boxes from the User permissions area. This is to allow or restrict access to certain areas of the Program.

For example you may don't want your technicians or users to change the Settings of the software.

 

By default any repair created is automatically assigned to the Logged in user. To assign a repair to another Technician, select it from the Assigned Technician dropdown selection.
